Think Bump & Run, in the ARCTIC!
The summer of 2007 brought with it our first (and long awaited) Muddy Watters, Bump &
Run Trail Series. The series was set up to bring something unique to the sport of trail
running while also benefiting local causes.
The runs were a combination trail, river, mud run with a ton of bootcamp exercises thrown
in for good measure. The first to complete the course while finishing all exercise stops
would be the winner.
The winter of 2010 will bring our first season of doing it all over again, but with a little
Michigan winter wonderland effect added to it. Expect much of the same, just a lot more
pain when you hit the water should you fall through (don't worry, no bridge jumping). This
will be a three race series. Awards given at each race BUT a special award to the highest
point tallies over the series to overall male/female winners. As with all of our events, a
portion of the event proceeds will go to benefit local charitable causes that will be
announced in the coming months. We'll also follow with a free kids event and some warm
eats.
Mandatory Gear? A disc to sled on - seriously. Not some big ass sled. You're going to have to carry it for the entire race!
